Liz Howard burst onto the poetry scene in 2016 when her book of poetry, Infinite Citizen of the Shaking Tent, won the 2016 Griffin Poetry Prize. This is the first time the prize has been awarded to a debut collection. Infinite Citizen of the Shaking Tent was also a finalist for the 2015 Governor General’s Award for Poetry. Her poetry has appeared recently in both The Walrus and The Capilano Review. Born and raised in Chapleau, northern Ontario, Howard now lives in Toronto where she assists with neurocognitive aging research.
