Leaders-In-Training (14-15 years old)
This bilingual camp develops leadership skills such as team-building, problem-solving, innovation and goal-setting set in a recreational and adventure-based programming guided by academic theory and leadership practice.
Who should attend?
Camp Glendon is for children and youth (aged 5-15) who are learning or want to learn French or English as a second language. This camp is ideal for students with some language learning such as French Immersion or Extension, Core French or ESL. Participants will learn programming related vocabulary by participating in activities, not by sitting classroom. They will hear and be encouraged to speak in both English and French and most importantly to have fun!
Instructors are bilingual university students with teaching experience who are passionate about languages, learning and fun.Instructors emphasize skill development while at the same time introduce and help build language skills and cultural experiences. Staff are certified in standard First-Aid/CPR and have received there police background checks, and receive extensive leadership and teacher training.
Online registration for faculty, staff, students and alumni is discounted (-10%) and open. All other registrations open online March 27, 2017.
