Program |
For the BA program in Economics, students must take at least 42 credits consisting of:
- 36 credits in Economics including the 18 credits of Core Courses and
- 6 credits in Mathematics, namely: GL/MATH/MODR 1930 3.0 and GL/MATH/MODR 1940 3.0, which must be taken by the end of the second year of study.
Students are also strongly recommended to take GL/ECON 3670 3.0 and GL/ECON 4260 3.0 |

Honours BA Program |
Major in Economics
Students must complete at least 48 credits consisting of:
- 42 credits in economics including the 18 credits of Core Courses and
- 6 credits in Mathematics, namely: GL/MATH/MODR 1930 3.0 and GL/MATH/MODR 1940 3.0, which must be taken by the end of the second year of study.
Students are also strongly recommended to take GL/ECON 3670 3.00 and GL/ECON 4260 3.00.

Minor in Economics
Students must complete at least 24 credits, consisting of:

18 credits of core courses;
- GL/MATH 1610 3.00 and GL/MATH 1620 3.00, which must be taken by the end of the second year of study.

Honours BA Program |
For the General Honours BA program in Economics, Students must complete at least 48 credits consisting of:
- 42 credits in economics including the 18 credits of Core Courses and
- 6 credits in Mathematics, namely: GL/MATH/MODR 1930 3.0 and GL/MATH/MODR 1940 3.0, which must be taken by the end of the second year of study.
Students are also strongly recommended to take GL/ECON 3670 3.00 and GL/ECON 4260 3.00. |
| Honours iBA Program |
For the Honours iBA program in Economics, Students must complete at least 48 credits consisting of:
- 42 credits in economics including the 18 credits of Core Courses and
- 6 credits in Mathematics, namely: GL/MATH/MODR 1930 3.0 and GL/MATH/MODR 1940 3.0, which must be taken by the end of the second year of study.
Students are also strongly recommended to take GL/ECON 3670 3.00 and GL/ECON 4260 3.00.
Students in the Honours iBA must also fulfill the following requirements:
- at least 12 credits of internationally-oriented courses;
- at least one full term abroad as a full-time student at an institution with which Glendon and/or York has a formal exchange agreement;
- for the iBA bilingual, at least 18 credits in each official language (English and French) at Glendon (French as a second language and/or in English as a second language at the 2000 level or above or in discipline courses which are designated as satisfying the bilingual requirement);
- for the iBA trilingual, in addition to the 18 credits in each official language (English and French), 18 credits in Hispanic studies (including GL/SP 2610 6.00 or six credits of an advanced level course) or 18 credits in a modern language offered by York University (including six credits of an advanced- level course in the chosen language).
Courses taken to fulfill the major requirements may also be used to fulfill the above iBA requirements. |
| Honours Major/Minor iBA Program |
The Honours iBA program in Economics described above may be pursued jointly with any Honours Minor BA program at Glendon.

| Honours Double Major BA Program |
The Honours BA program may be pursued jointly with another Honours degree program offered at Glendon.
For the Honours Double Major BA Program in Economics, Students must complete at least 48 credits consisting of:
- 42 credits in economics including the 18 credits of Core Courses and
- 6 credits in Mathematics, namely: GL/MATH/MODR 1930 3.0 and
GL/MATH/MODR 1940 3.0, which must be taken by the end of the second year of study.
Students are also strongly recommended to take GL/ECON 3670 3.00 and GL/ECON 4260 3.00.

- 54 credits in economics including the 18 credits of core courses and
- 6 credits in Mathematics, namely: GL/MATH/MODR 1930 3.0 and GL/MATH/MODR 1940 3.0, which must be taken by the end of the second year of study.
Students are also strongly recommended to take GL/ECON 3670 3.00 and GL/ECON 4260 3.00. |
| Specialized Honours iBA Program |

| Possible Concentrations Within Economics |
All students majoring or minoring in economics must take GL/ECON2500 3.0, GL/ECON2510 3.0, GL/ECON3230 6.0 and GL/ECON3240 6.0. Beyond the core courses, students are able to select combinations of courses which provide a concentration in particular areas. The following combinations are currently available, and others are possible depending on the student’s interest and career plans.
