Application Requirements
In order to be considered
for admission to York University you need to meet our minimum
admission requirements* as follows:
GCE
- Minimum of two Advanced Level (A-level) passes and three GCSE
or IGCSE Ordinary Level (O-level) passes.
- Two Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS-level) courses may be substituted
for a maximum of one Advanced Level course.
- A minimum average of “C” is required on Advanced Level and Ordinary
Level passes.
CAPE
- Diploma with a total of at least six units, including prerequisites,
and grades of 1, 2 or 3 in each unit.
- A minimum overall average of 3 out of 7 is required.
Glendon-specific recommendations and requirements
GCE
- O-level French recommended
- A-level Math recommended for Business Economics and Economics
- A-level Math required for Mathematics and Mathematics for Commerce
- Ensure you meet our language requirements
CAPE
- 1-unit French recommended
- 2-unit Mathematics recommended for Business Economics and Economics
- 2-unit Mathematics required for Mathematics and Mathematics for Commerce
- Ensure you meet our language requirements
Transfer Credit for GCE: Granted for Advanced
Level courses with final grades of “C” or
better, depending on the program (maximum 18 credits).
Transfer Credit for CAPE: Granted for courses passed at the 2-unit level with
grades of 1, 2 or 3, depending on the program (maximum 18 credits).
NOTE: These are minimum requirements only. Admission is not guaranteed and all requirements are subject to change. Recommended courses will help you with your studies, but we do not automatically look for them when we assess your application for admission and scholarships.
