Clubs and Activities

Glendon's student-run clubs promote many academic, cultural, and linguistic themes. Do you have an idea for starting a new one? You have the opportunity to get it off the ground! Watch for annual social traditions like the Snowball Formal and the Winter Carnival too.

Learn about the many other student clubs and activities at our open house events for future students and during the clubs fair in September of your first year. Or check out the complete list of clubs on the GCSU web site.

Pro Tem
Pro Tem is Glendon's student-run bilingual newspaper. By getting involved, you can polish your writing skills and gain valuable experience in the field of journalism. New writers are welcome! Photographers too!

Glendon College Students' Union (GCSU)
The GCSU is our student self-government. The GCSU coordinates and promotes student participation in cultural, intellectual, and social activities and students' interests in academic and administrative matters.

United Nations Club
Modelling on the UN's rules and regulations, the United Nations Club organizes debates and participates in annual United Nations simulation conferences in Montreal, New York City and Western Europe. Simulation exercises on the European Parliament and the Organization of American States are also on their agenda.

Dance Team
Love to dance? Then join one of the Dance Team groups. One team performs and the other team is for recreational dancers who just want to learn to dance and have a great time.

Musical Ensemble
The Glendon Musical Ensemble includes vocal and instrumental sections. It brings together Glendon students, faculty, alumni and friends who all share a passion for music. The Ensemble presents concerts and performances throughout the year.

Hispanic Club
Spanish and non-Spanish students alike are welcome to join in the many cultural events and activities organized by this very active Hispanic Club. Learn to Latin Dance, practice your Spanish, and take part in the annual Festival of Spanish Language and Culture.

Alpine Club
Love to ski or snowboard? Join the Alpine Club for great, inexpensive ski trips to local resorts, to Quebec, and beyond. All levels are welcome.

International Studies Students' Association (ISSA)
Entirely run by students, the ISSA organizes conferences, discussions with professors, pub nights, information sessions on Masters programs and internships, and other activities of interest to students in related fields. Their award-winning International Studies Symposium, with high-profile guest speakers, is the culmination of an annual study project whose participants follow up with an on-location research trip. Past projects explored Russia, India (both received prestigious awards of excellence), as well as Brazil, the European Union, China and others.

CKRG Radio Glendon
CKRG is our student-run radio station. CKRG plays every style of music and a great choice of program themes. The station is always looking for new students for on and off-air work. You could be the next campus DJ!

Women's Centre
Open to all students, male and female alike, this is a positive space with friendly staff. The Women's Centre has a food bank for students and also offers seminars and reference services.
