Many students
choose to work a few hours a week at a part-time job while they
pursue their studies. Here are just a few examples of the many
on-campus jobs available each year:
research assistant
lifeguard
campus tour guide
residence night porter
personal trainer
babysitter
language monitor
library assistant
Make a list of jobs that interest you, update your resume (the
Counselling and Career Centre on campus can help you), and apply
for jobs online. For part-time jobs off-campus, you can drop in at the Glendon
Career and Counselling Centre for information on how to apply.
Work/Study Program
Now open to international students! This program, a joint effort between York
and the provincial government, provides part-time, on-campus employment to eligible
full-time students. You can apply for the Work/Study program in September. A list of on-campus jobs is available online (Passport York account required to login).
