Ph. D.in linguistics from the University of Toronto and a Diplôme d'études approfondies from the University of Paris 7, Henriette Gezundhajt's research interests include theoretical and formal linguistics, enunciation, phonetics, didactics of French as a second and first language, new technologies applied to teaching, culture and media, and psychology. She has written several articles in the framework of these disciplines and her doctoral thesis resulted in a publication: Adverbes en -ment et opérations énonciatives (Peter Lang, 2000). She has also collaborated on the re-edition of a book on articulatory phonetics: Monique Léon et al, Improving French Pronunciation (Improving French Inc, 2012). She is also the co-recipient of an AIF development fund for the creation of online materials for a hybrid introductory linguistics course, as well as an eCampus Ontario grant for an online textbook on summary and argumentation. She had already been producing multimedia teaching materials since the 1990s, and had designed websites that were frequented by many visitors. These sites, which are freely accessible, continue to provide support for language and linguistics teaching: http://www.connectigramme.com and http://www.linguistes.com .
