Eligibility

Your scholarship is calculated the same way as your admission average and includes prerequisite courses. For equivalent IB points, visit our admissions requirements.These scholarships are available to Canadian students applying from any secondary school in Canada or abroad AND international high school students applying from a Canadian high school abroad who have achieved a final admission average of 80% or higher. For students with an admission average of 95%, the scholarship is renewable for an additional three years of full-time undergraduate study as long as high academic standing is maintained each year.

Student Life Awards

High School applicants with a final admission average of 75% or greater, and who accept their admission offer by the date indicated in the offer letter will also qualify for the Student Life Award, valued at $500 (one time only for all). This unique award is designed to help students with the cost of books, eating on campus, etc. and will be applied to the  student’s YU Card at the start of classes.

Eligibility

  • Awarded to students entering the University directly from a secondary school who have achieved the highest admission average (including prerequisites)
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person
  • Awarded to the top students in each Faculty
  • The recipient of this award is not eligible for the York University Renewable Entrance Scholarship

Chancellor Cory Entrance Scholarship

$16,000 ($4,000 x 4 years)

+ $500 Student Life Award

Eligibility

  • Awarded to a student entering the University directly from secondary school who has achieved a minimum 90% admission average and is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person
  • The recipient of this award is also eligible for the York University Automatic Entrance Scholarship

Quebec Entrance Scholarship

$7,500

Eligibility

  • Applicants from CEGEP who hold the DEC
  • Highest admission average
  • Must be eligible for admission to second year

Mature Student Entrance Scholarship

$3,000

Eligibility

  • Students admitted in the mature student category for full-time study.
  • No application required. Based on personal letter, resume and other supporting documents submitted for admission. Considerations: strong academic performance, work history, professional development or community/volunteer involvement

Lester B. Pearson Entrance Scholarship

$1,000

Eligibility

  • Awarded to a Year 1 Glendon College student with high academic standing, coming from a province west of Ontario. This scholarship commemorates the Honourable Lester B. Pearson, Prime Minister of Canada from 1963 to 1968 and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957.

Ron Triffon Entrance Scholarship

$1,000

Eligibility

  • Awarded to a Year 1 Glendon student with high academic standing, coming from a province east of Ontario. This award has been established in memory of a former Glendon student.

Provost’s Award

$500- $1,000

Eligibility

  • Ontario college students with at least two full semesters of academic study in a diploma certificate program completed within the past three years
  • No other post-secondary studies
  • Minimum average of 3.3 on a 4 point scale (75%)
