Yes. Our program allows you to apply for exchanges through York International. However, you must apply internally first to ensure that the courses you complete abroad are relevant to this program. While a background in political sciences is not required, it is recommended that you stay up-to-date with current politics (both domestic and international) and have a basic understanding of political processes.


Approximately 25 students are in a cohort. It tends to be a fair mixture of students with a lot of work experience in different backgrounds, including law, marketing, politics or international organizations, as well as younger students with limited work experience having just completed their Bachelor’s degree.


There are quite a few apartment buildings located at Yonge and Lawrence (right by Lawrence Station), which is a 20-30 minute walk or a 10-minute bus ride to campus. Apartments near Eglinton Station are just as convenient and in a buzzing location as well. Average rent in Ontario for an individual tends to be around $1000 per month, depending on whether your plan to live alone or with a roommate.


The Glendon Athletic club offers a lot of different sports activities a the incredibly fair price of $20 for a year’s membership as a student at Glendon College (https://www.glendon.yorku.ca/gac/). There are also several clubs available on campus that you can take part in; there is a club day scheduled at the beginning of the school year.
