El participio pasado usado como adjetivo
In previous exercises you practiced how to form the past participle in Spanish. You have also learned that the past
participle is a component of el pretérito perfecto and el pluscuamperfecto tenses
But did you know that the past participle could also be used as an adjective????
In English, we say “I have broken my arm” so now “ I have a broken arm”. The second “broken” is an
adjective. In Spanish, this adjective has to agree in gender and in number with the noun it qualifies.
