By now, you already know that the imperfecto de subjuntivo is a very easy tense of the Spanish language. No irregular formations. What you need to know is the verbal form of the third person plural in the pretérito (indefinido). From that form, remove then ending - ron and add the ending of the imperfecto de subjuntivo. There are two series of endings: one with a higher frequency of use than the other. The most used series of endings is: - ra - ras - ra - ramos - rais - ran. The other series is mostly used in Spain and in writing: - se - ses - se - semos - seis - sen. Keep in mind the written accent used with nosotros form.
