Anti-Spam

Description

Our anti-spam service scans all incoming and outgoing emails (@glendon.yorku.ca) to prevent spam and viruses.

Eligibility

Included with all Glendon faculty and staff email accounts.

Policies

  • This service is mandatory for all Glendon email users.
  • Outgoing mail: All emails are scanned for viruses only.
  • Incoming mail: All emails are scanned for viruses and spam. Depending on various tests, emails are then either allowed, sent to the Junk Mail folder (when unsure) or blocked.

How to request the service

Included with all Glendon faculty and staff email accounts.

None.

Other

Emails will be sent to your Junk Mail folder if the spam filter is unable to determine if the message is spam, therefore make sure you check your Junk Mail folder occasionally. These emails will have the tag [BULK] appended to the subject line, and will automatically be deleted after 30 days. Contact ithelp@glendon.yorku.ca if a valid email lands in your Junk Mail folder.
