Remember, Glendon Orientation Day is a mandatory day for all incoming students!

August 28 – 31. 10 AM – 3 PM each day.

JumpStart is a four-day summer program designed to help you start university on the right foot. Over the course of the week, you’ll discover some tips to adjust to the academic demands of university life, develop techniques for more effective study, and adapt to your new environment.

September 6, 2017.  Arrive at 12:45 PM for check-in, program starts at 1 PM.

Program ends at the Keele Campus at 8 PM (buses returning to Glendon for 9 PM).

It’s a mandatory day that features the need-to-know information about student life, services and resources on campus and will get you even more excited to start your life as a Glendonite. You’ll meet your Lion’s Den Peer Mentor who will be a guide through your first year and get the ins-and-outs of your program from your professors. We’ll end the day at the Keele Campus for the official York University Welcome Ceremony!

This orientation is designed specifically for students from outside of Canada, both international and exchange. Learn about the mandatory University Health Insurance Plan, international student services at the Glendon and Keele campuses, Canadian academic and socio-cultural norms, and the International Club.

September 2, 2017.  10 AM – 12 PM & 1 PM – 3 PM

Since parents, guardians, and family are an important support for students throughout their university careers, we offer this session to connect with them and answer their questions. Topics discussed include campus security, orientation, food services, student life, financial aid and OSAP. This session coincides with residence move-in day to allow as many parents as possible to participate.

This reception provides an opportunity for members and allies of Glendon’s strong LGBT community to mingle, learn about on-campus LGBT support programs and services, and hear coming-out stories from fellow Glendonites.

Orientation at Glendon takes place three times per year, for each intake: in September for the fall intake, in January for the winter intake, or in May for the summer intake.
