The following steps should be completed before commencing your classes:
Step 1 - Complete Your Language Assessment(s)
In order to take a French, English or Spanish language course at Glendon, you must first complete the necessary Language Assessment(s) to determine whether the French/English/Spanish course(s) you wish to take suit you best. If you wish to take a course taught in French/English, and the language of instruction is not your first language, you must complete a Language Assessment to confirm that your level of French/English proficiency will enable you to succeed in the course(s) you have selected.
Please request your assessment(s) from your advisor. The assessments must be sent back by e-mail to dearadvisor@gl.yorku.ca or by fax at 416-487-6813. Once it (they) has (have) been assessed, we will send you your results by e-mail.
Step 2 - Fill out Your Advising Document
This document gives us a record of your intended study plan for the academic year. Please fill it out and send it to us by e-mail or by fax. You do not need to wait to receive the results for your Language Assessment(s) to send this. Please feel free to send it in as soon as possible.
