The main barriers to employment for francophone immigrants are English proficiency, cultural competency, and soft skill development (Source: Looking Forward: Employment Opportunities for Ontario’s Bilingual Francophone Talent, La Passerelle IDÉ & Francophone Workforce Development Council). This course provides an opportunity for francophone immigrants, with previous or existing work experience in Canada or abroad, to build their cultural competencies so they feel more at ease in their new environment and increase their effectiveness with a Canadian team.
