The equipment of the Glendon Digital Media Lab is not an end in itself. It is available to enable experiential education and pedagogical projects which encourage digital literacy and creativity. These types of projects increase students’ engagement and provide them with skills that will serve them well in their professional life.

With these objectives in mind, the Media Lab supports the practice of digital storytelling. Digital storytelling is a practice that creates short, sometimes personal, multimedia stories, it facilitates social engagements and links with the community, and it involves collaboration.

The Glendon Digital Media Lab provides resources to help faculty members and students develop projects.

We want to organize a showcase of digital storytelling projects at the end of each year, so if you created one or you are a professor and had your students work on such an assignment, let us know at glmedialab@glendon.yorku.ca. Thank you.
