Hyena RoadWithout a doubt, corruption, war, terrorism, and human rights abuses are themes commonly reflected in the media today. Discussions about these topics are more prominent than ever and, at Glendon, they’re always lively.

Next Wednesday, we’re inviting you to join us to learn more about these topics during a screening of award-winning war movie Hyena Road, hosted by our Political Science department. The film is followed by a discussion with the film’s director, Paul Gross, and associate producer, Lieutenant Ted Howard.

You’ll also meet some current Political Science and International Studies students and our recruitment team for a chance to talk about Glendon, and sample our candy buffet before the screening to help get you movie-ready!

About the Film

An examination of the nature of globalized warfare in the 21st century, Hyena Road tells the story of an embattled Canadian-American initiative to increase safe transport across Afghanistan. The film illuminates the problems of corruption, human rights abuses, and the transnational flows of money, people, and drugs that accentuate the moral uncertainty of Canada’s war in Afghanistan.
