Technological advancements and cyber-threats are appearing and developing every month and Canadian laws have been unable to keep up. With every country providing their own standards, which often do not align with the citizen’s values, norms and expectations, the need for a global standard of data protection and privacy is more prevalent now than ever. Join the Glendon School of Public and International Affairs and the Norman Patterson School of Public Affairs on November 14th to discuss hot button topics regarding national and international uses of our data, including the legalities surrounding data collection and storage, legal grey zones as well as ethics.
