Microsoft Campus Desktop Agreement (on-campus)


The Microsoft Campus Desktop Agreement covers the installation of Office and Windows on computers owned by York University.


Available to faculty and staff on computers which are purchased using York University funds. Note: proof of purchase using University funds will be required for non-Smartbuy purchases


The following software is provided by Glendon ITS via the Agreement:
  • Microsoft Office 2010 (PC) and Microsoft Office 2011 (Mac)
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Windows can only be obtained via our imaging process. Please consult our Managed Desktop service description to see if your computer qualifies.
  • The Agreement requires Glendon ITS to install the software. We cannot provide media or license keys.
  • The Agreement does not cover non-York computers.  For these computers, you will be required to purchase your own media/license keys. Microsoft Office can be purchased at a discount via the Microsoft Office Home Use Program.
