Alexander Caviedes holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a JD from the University of Florida, and an LLM in European Law from the University of the Saarland, Germany. He is currently Director of Academic Advisement and Information at Farmingdale State College (SUNY), having previously served as Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and International Affairs at the State University of New York at Fredonia, where he was pre-law advisor and the faculty advisor for the SUNY Model EU and also held positions as Interim Director of the Honors Program and Coordinator of International Studies. His research interests lie in comparative political economy, particularly public policy related to migration and labour migration policy. He previously practiced immigration law in Tampa, Florida. <Read Article in JCER>
