Iwona Wronska:  Is the EU a federal state?

Friday 1 November 13:00-14:00 York Hall A222

The EU is a unique supranational and intergovernmental organization. It is not a nation-state, but the structure bears a resemblance to a federation. For example the Canadian and the EU political system have a lot in common. I would like to argue that although member states do not want to acknowledge, the EU, in many ways, functions like a federal state.
