Willemijn Krans is a member of the board of Jongerenorganisatie Vrijheid en Democratie (JOVD), the liberal political youth organization aligned to the VVD, the political party currently led by prime minister Mark Rutte. She is responsible for internal political debate, media, and international affairs. She has almost finished her BSc Political Science at Leiden University. Next to her studies and the board, Willemijn works at ProDemos, a foundation that helps explain the systems that govern democracy and the rule of law, and to show what citizens themselves can do to exert political influence.
