The Alzheimer Society is now accepting applications to the 2020 Alzheimer Society Research Program (ASRP) competition.  A summary is provided below.

Objectives
To provide grants and award to applicants based in Canadian Universities and affiliated institutions that promise new insights into causes, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias (ADOD).

New Investigator Operating Grants is designed to help launch the careers of outstanding researchers who are within the first 4 years of their initial academic appointment.  .
Note: Recipients of past ASRP Young/New Investigator grants are ineligible to apply for a New Investigator Operating Grant.

Proof of Concept Grants are designed to fund established researchers in conducting innovative, high-risk and high-reward approaches to dementia research.  Principal investigators must hold a position at least equivalent to the rank of Assistant Professor.  Adjunct professors at or above the level of Assistant Professor are eligible to apply.

Value and Duration
New Investigator Operating Grants; $200,000 for up to 4 years
Proof of Concept Grants: $100,000 for up to 5 years
