Sent on behalf of Aryn Martin, Associate Dean Student Affairs, Faculty of Graduate Studies

Dear members of the graduate student community at York,

This message is primarily intended for incoming and continuing international graduate students, as well as Canadian graduate students who are outside of the country. However, we are casting the net as wide as possible on this communication because this student population, uniquely affected by the pandemic, is at the forefront of many of our minds. The need for up-to-date information is widespread.

You may be facing travel restrictions and uncertainties that affect your ability to travel safely to York in the fall as planned. Although we are eager to welcome you in person, we recognize that you are making difficult decisions, and there are a number of effects arising from your inability to arrive at York. We’ve gathered the relevant funding information in one place: https://gradstudies.yorku.ca/covid-19-update-grads/funding-faqs-for-international-graduate-students/. We will update it should new information or possibilities present themselves.

Sincerely,

ARYN MARTIN (she/her) ● Associate Dean Student Affairs
