The Research Commons will host a practical workshop of “Enhancing the Visibility of Your Research for Greater Recognition” in collaboration with York Library. It is aimed to boost our researchers’ profile in the digital world. The workshop will be held on November 11 from 2:00-3:30pm. In the workshop, Andrea Kosavic and Dany Savard from York Library will help you to

  • Learn about different persistent identifiers and researcher IDs such as ORCID, Scopus ID and Web of Science Researcher ID.
  • Learn about how researcher profiles are created on such platforms as Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and Mendeley.
  • Learn about the growing importance of preprint repositories and alternative metrics.
  • Learn how to deposit publications in open access repositories such as YorkSpace in order to increase the reach of research.

After the workshop, there will be a hands-on practical session from 3:30pm-4:30pm with the Librarians.
