Global Affairs Canada and the Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES) of Brazil are offering scholarships to support team-oriented research projects, between Canadian and Brazilian universities. This program is open to all academic disciplines. A summary is provided below.
Objective
To support team-oriented research projects between Canadian and Brazilian universities collaborating in mutually beneficial areas of research. The collaborations are expected to result in high quality research that will have an impact in Canada and in Brazil through the mobility of both Canadian and Brazilian research students and Project Leads.
Value
The scholarship value is:
- A) CAD 7,200 for the Canadian Project where Members will travel for a research exchange for a minimum period of four months; or
- B) CAD 9,700 for the Canadian Project where Members will travel for a research exchange for a minimum of five to six months; or
- C) CAD 2,700 for the Canadian Project where the Lead will travel for a faculty visit for a minimum period of seven days.
In addition to the funds allocated to the Canadian Project Lead and Project Members, the Canadian institution may also claim CAD 500 per member to assist with administrative costs associated with the joint research project.
