A liberal arts sociology background can be extremely useful in today’s workforce. Glendon graduates in sociology go on to careers in many fields.
These include teaching, social work, civil service at the federal, provincial and municipal levels, politics, and many aspects of business. Others choose to pursue a career in journalism, law, social research, social justice, urban planning, criminology, community organization, public policy analysis, demographics, or industrial relations. In all of these fields, our graduates benefit from the liberal arts skills of reading, writing and reasoning and from the ability to use the tools of sociology to make sense of their experience.
