1. General
1.1 The SRC Library exists to meet the information needs of anybody.
1.2 The SRC Library is open to everyone and all may consult materials.
1.3 To borrow materials is necessary to register as a SRC member.
2. Borrowers
2.1 There are two categories of borrowers and both have the same rights.
2.2 Members of the York University community are automatically members of the SRC and must present their YorkU card to be able to borrow materials.
2.3 Persons outside the York University community must pay a one time membership fee of 15CAD to be able to borrow materials.
2.4 All borrowers can borrow 5 resources at a time with a maximum of 2 audiovisual materials (DVDs or CDs).
3. Loan Periods
3.1 Regular Loan. Books and other material designated for regular loan may be borrowed for 28 days. Unless requested by another borrower, these materials may be renewed to a maximum of two renewals
3.2 Restricted Loan. Audiovisual material may be borrowed for 14 days. Unless requested by another borrower, these materials may be renewed to a maximum of two renewals.
3.3 Reference Materials. Dictionaries and Encyclopedias may be borrowed for 1 day as long as they are being used within Glendon Campus.
3.4 Non-circulating Materials. Games, brochures, posters and rare books do not circulate.
4. Return of Materials
4.1 Library materials must be returned on or before the date and/ or time due.
4.2 Library materials must be returned in person at the Spanish Resource Centre during office hours.
4.3 Notices will not be sent when materials are due. As a borrower, it is your responsibility to return the materials on time.
5. Sanctions
5.1 Borrowing privileges will be suspended when a borrower has overdue materials.
