Glendon Student Newsletter

The Glendon Student Newsletter is a weekly newsletter sent out to Glendon students through email. It contains information about news related to York University/ Glendon Campus as well as events and opportunities for students (E.g. Job opportunities, available scholarships etc.)

If you would like your message to be included in the next newsletter, please submit it by Thursday, April 11, 5PM EST. 

The next newsletter will be sent on Monday, April 15.

EXPECTATIONS FOR SUBMISSIONS

Your message must:

  • be short and concise (maximum 250 characters) and written in both French and English
  • include a catchy and intriguing title in both languages
  • include a link to further information or include contact information such as an email address
  • either be regarding an event, an announcement, a call-out, or an opportunity

For further clarification of these 4 categories, see the following definitions and examples:

Definition: a planned public or social occasion (E.g. Pub night) 

Example:

YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS: Frost Week

Definition: a public statement regarding a fact or occurrence (E.g. due dates)

Example: 

Le 10 novembre date limite!

November 10th is the last day to drop courses without receiving a grade!

Definition: sharing campus resources for students

Example: 

La banque alimentaire est ouverte !

Le Bureau des affaires étudiantes souhaite vous informer de la réouverture de la banque alimentaire. Si vous êtes dans le besoin, vous pouvez prendre rendez-vous en nous écrivant à studentaffairs@glendon.yorku.ca. Chaque demande sera traitée de manière confidentielle et vous pourrez ainsi recevoir des denrées et des produits selon leur disponibilité.

The Food Bank is open!

The Office of Student Affairs would like to inform you of the reopening of the Food Bank. If you are in need, you can make an appointment by writing to us at studentaffairs@glendon.yorku.ca. Each request will be treated confidentially, and you will be able to receive food and products according to their availability.
