Call for Research Presentations!

Deadline for Submissions: March 6th, 2020

The Student Research Leaders presentations will take place on March 18, 2020, during the Leadership Summit at the Glendon Campus, York University.

Glendon is dedicated to building an environment that promotes leadership in research. These efforts have led to the emergence of an active and diverse community of researchers in many disciplines. Whatever their area of expertise, all our researchers have contributed to the enrichment of knowledge and well-being of society. This year, the Research and Innovation Office, in partnership with the Office of Student Affairs, will showcase Glendon’s student researcher leaders.

The Leadership Summit features four themes:

  • Women & leadership
  • Health & wellbeing
  • Climate action
  • Bilingualism

While presentations about research that meets one of these themes are encouraged, research presentations on any subject are welcomed.

The general call for papers invites proposals in English or in French for 10-minute presentations that will highlight the impact of your research and foster interdisciplinary discussion. If you are interested, you may also have the opportunity to present your work at the annual Research Festival later in April.

Please submit the following to the Research and Innovation Office (  by March 6th, 2020:

  • your proposal (250 words max)
  • a short bibliography in Word
  • Indication of interest in also presenting at the Research Festival colloquium

All proposals can be written in French or English.
