The Drama Studies Program and Theatre Glendon proudly invite you to an adaptation of The Rover, Glendon’s take on Aphra Behn’s classic Restoration comedy of the same name,. This adapted theatre piece directed by  Prof. Guillaume Bernardi represents the culmination of efforts for course DRST 4619: Performing the Baroque.  The performances , and will run for 3 nights from March 14-16 at Theatre Glendon.

 

During Cromwell’s Protectorate, a group of young, gallant English cavaliers in exile now find themselves caught up in various love triangles and deep-seated conflicts. at Carnival time in 17th century Naples. Through narration and the use of projections and masks, this production tells a complex story of deception and disguise, while underlying Aphra Behn’s vision of women’s agency in a patriarchal society.
