GL BIOL 2325 3.0

Zoology

Zoology GL/BIOL 2325 3.00 is offered as an introductory course to the biology of animals, their function, their origin, their evolution and their role in ecosystems.  The course covers both theoretical (lectures) and applied (laboratory) concepts in animal biology. Each student must attend both lectures and laboratory sessions in order to complete the course.  Lectures will permit students to increase their knowledge of animal biology and provide students with a solid theoretical background in order to maximize learning experiences in the laboratory.  Most of the laboratory exercises will involve examination of specimens using microscopes and prepared slides, as well as both computer assisted and physical dissections.
