Renowned historian, academic and author Margaret McMillan delivered the John Holmes Memorial Lecture at Glendon on September 12th. The lecture, titled “Does History Matter in International Relations?” was a
thought-provoking, beautifully articulated lecture from the author of Peacemakers: The Paris Conference of 1919 and Its Attempt to Make Peace, for which she won the Silver Medal for the Council on Foreign Relations Arthur Ross Book Award and the Governor-General’s prize for non-fiction in 2003 amongst others.
