Call for nominations 2017
CRLCC Best Student Paper Contest
Deadline: August 31, 2017
Every year the CRLCC holds a best student paper competition, aimed at recognizing student research excellence. The award is given to one undergraduate and one graduate paper written as part of a course at York University. The paper should be on a subject related to one of the three CRLCC research clusters:
– Language ecology and planning.
– Language contact, variation, and change.
– Translation and interpreting.
To be considered for the competition, papers should be nominated by a faculty member who will submit a letter of nomination to the following e-mail address: crlc_crcl@glendon.yorku.ca.
Nominees should fill out the contest submission form and submit it along with an electronic copy of the paper by email at the following address: crlc_crcl@glendon.yorku.ca. All paper submissions will undergo a blind review by a selection committee.

The contest winner will receive a certificate of recognition and will be invited to present her/his paper at a CRLCC research event and/or have the paper published on the CRLCC website.
