On November 12, we were pleased to highlight three of our student changemakers: Ana Kraljević, Jay Patel and Darlene Nouemsi. Together, they discussed their experiences, their involvement, and impact at Glendon in conversation with Ian Roberge, Interim Principal.

We asked them to speak on what inspired them to give back as a Glendon student, Ana sees Glendon as an opportunity to contribute to a movement of student empowerment: “[Glendon] has allowed me to meet so many other inspiring students that are working on quite amazing things…I have been very fortunate to gain numerous friendships along the way”.

For Jay, he’s inspired through his extensive extracurricular involvement: “At Glendon, we are a global community…we have so many people, so many diverse backgrounds…we’re all able to get together on the same platform and have these conversations about what is next…so we leave the earth a better place than what we inherited”.

Last but not least, Darlene emphasized the “intersectionality” that Glendon offers: “this generation is the generation to change everything”, highlighting that education is power and being educated about the challenges of her community has helped her to become a leader and advocate for human rights.

We are pleased to share the recording of this event on our YouTube channel.
