Valérie Florentin (MA Laval, PhD Montreal) is an Assistant Professor in the School of Translation and the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies at Glendon College. A Certified Translator, Professor Florentin is part of a number of research groups whose main interests converge around pedagogy as a means to promote social justice. Professor Florentin’s expertise focuses on cultural aspects of translation in audiovisual settings and games. Prior to joining York University as Course Director in 2017, Professor Florentin taught a wide range of courses in the Translation program at the University of Hearst.
