The Centre Francophone of Greater Toronto, a key institution at the heart of the regional Francophone community, is seeking volunteers specialized in video creation. Our mission to promote Francophone culture is constantly evolving, and we aim to expand our presence on social media
platforms and our website through engaging promotional videos.

Volunteer Mission:

We are calling on dynamic and creative volunteers to produce promotional videos and short video clips (30 seconds), intended for sharing on various social media platforms, including TikTok, and on our website. These contents will highlight our programs, services, and events, thereby increasing our visibility and impact.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Produce professional-quality promotional videos tailored to each social media platform, including short clips for specific formats like TikTok.
  • Collaborate closely with our communications team to capture the essence of our services through engaging and informative videos.
  • Use professional video editing software to create dynamic, innovative content aligned with our communication goals.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all video content platforms.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in video shooting and editing.
  • Proficiency in video shooting techniques and the ability to operate various types of cameras.

About the position:

As part of the vision of continuing developing sustainability at TFS, particularly in the use of our ravine, Outdoor Program Specialist positions are being opened for September 2024 and run until June 2025. The primary purpose is to facilitate the integration of the school’s immediate green spaces and sustainability-related issues into the TFS teaching and learning experiences. Learning outside regularly allows the children to develop an informed and compassionate connection with the environment around them. Attentive, patient, and flexible educators support children with their learning and passions.

The Outdoor Program Specialists in these positions will work collaboratively with the Homeroom teacher, the Student Activities Coordinator and report to the Principal and work collaboratively with the branch. They are responsible for interacting with students while facilitating safe and fun  experiential programming. The successful incumbents will assist in the development and delivery of programs.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Development of teaching materials and other resources for program delivery in consultation with teachers.
  • Promotion of the PYP and experimental approach for such teaching and learning experiences.
  • Interact with students and foster interaction among them. 
  • Maintain a fun, positive, and safe environment for all students. 
  • Facilitate science and outdoor activities (Assisting regularly programmed outdoor classes, recess in the ravine, Free Play in the ravine,  mentorship activities, Gardening, petite école, junior school and/or senior school opportunities);
  • Work as a team to enhance biodiversity and promote its conservation.
  • Assist in physical preparation of the facility prior to group arrival.
  • Understand and be confident with ALL emergency procedures at TFS including risk assessment for outdoor activities. 
  • Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with all TFS programs. 
  • Know, follow, and enforce all Infection Prevention and Control guidelines.

  • Excellent knowledge of the natural environment (fauna, flora, ecosystems, etc.).

About the position: 

Reporting to the Principal and the Executive Director of Innovation and Technology, STEAM specialists are  responsible for interacting with students while facilitating safe and fun co-curricular activities related to STEAM activities including but not limited to robotics and coding.  The successful incumbent will create and deliver engaging co-curricular programs in each term for grades 2 to 5, including support for web tools such as Kodable and Scratch, as well as physical robots such as Ozobot and Dash.

Responsibilities include:

Remote work within the TFS.ca domain, including completion of training modules to effectively support student engagement during in person clubs time.

  • Lunchroom Clubs and extracurricular responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to test and deliver support resources including Dash Class Connect, Scratch and Kodable rostering and progress reporting.
  • Support pre-assigned robotics and computational thinking activities including competitions, projects, and robot demonstrations.
  • Foster positive interaction, teamwork, and “co-opetition”  among students.
  • Maintain a fun, positive and safe environment for all students.
  • Document student progress through photo images and video.
  • Understand and be confident with ALL emergency procedures at TFS.
