Mitacs recently announced a Call for Mitacs Accelerate projects with municipalities.
A summary is provided below:
Objective
To connect municipalities of all sizes with post-secondary researchers for innovative projects ensuring you develop the best public policies to create vibrant and healthy communities.
Mitacs will support all topics relevant to Municipalities including, but not limited to:
- Impact of the pandemic and public health policies
- Housing/Homelessness/At Risk Populations Framework
- Emergency Management and Environmental Resilience
- Smart cities and connected communities
Value and Duration
$15,000 for every 4-6 months with $7,500+HST from municipality and $7,500 from Mitacs
