Career and Skills Development Centre
The Career and Skills Development Centre, located in York Hall A118, focuses on career exploration, skills development and experiential education. You can get personalized academic and career help by booking an appointment via Moodle or by attending a workshop in the Centre or in residence.
Leslie Frost Library
Overlooking Glendon’s hallmark rose garden, the bright and spacious Leslie Frost Library is an ideal location for finding the resources you need for assignments, readings, and research. It also provides one of the most picturesque views of the wooded ravine ‘ a great setting for reading, writing, or collecting research. Professional librarians are on staff to guide you to the best materials for your study needs.
Frost Library is home to an outstanding English, French, and Spanish-language collection of over 300,000 items, including a vast collection of Internet-based materials. Individual desks and state of the art computer work stations provide you with a quiet space to study and every opportunity for success in your academic work. Frost Library is fully wheelchair accessible.
As a Glendon student, you have full privileges at the four libraries on York’s Keele Campus, giving you access to Canada’s third largest academic collection. If the book you’re looking for is housed in a library on the other campus, it can be delivered to you at Glendon within 24 hours.

Students with Disabilities
The Glendon Accessibility, Well-Being, and Counselling Centre has a comprehensive support program for students with disabilities which includes individual consultations with a Accessibility Counsellor, a peer tutoring program for help with learning strategies, and adaptive technology.

Personal Counselling
The Accessibility, Well-Being, and Counselling Centre offers students private, confidential assistance with personal issues.
Individual Counselling Services
If you encounter a personal problem, experienced counsellors are available to meet with you in confidential, individual sessions by appointment. The Centre also offers services for students with learning, physical, and psychiatric disabilities.

Welcome Week
Expect a warm welcome when you arrive: our school year begins with a week of orientation activities to help you settle in and set the tone for life on campus. Orientation is a balanced mix of helpful factual information, a chance to get acquainted with the campus and other students, and many social activities taking you around campus, the city of Toronto, and surrounding areas. Social Activities
Take part in a scavenger hunt through Toronto, visit Canada’s Wonderland amusement park, catch big-name musical events, and other great orientation activities. It’s a great opportunity to get to know the first-year class, Glendon, and Toronto. You’re bound to feel at home here right away.
Academic Advising
Once you’re admitted to Glendon, you’ll be invited to spend a day on campus choosing your courses, getting your e-mail account, your student identity card, etc. You’ll receive personalized help from experts who will work with you to shape your first year according to your own particular preferences. Distance advising is available for those who cannot come to campus before September.

Bookstore
The campus bookstore stocks textbooks and materials you’ll need for your courses, as well as a selection of stationary supplies, gift items, and Glendon clothing and other apparel. The bookstore also has access to the large stock of resources of the Keele Campus bookstore. Our bookstore is centrally located in a new, modern facility in York Hall.

Dining on Campus
The Dining Hall/Cafeteria
Our large, bright dining hall, known to Glendonites as “the Caf”, is centrally located in York Hall, at the hub of campus activity. The Caf is open to the entire Glendon community and is a great place for students to meet, study, relax, and enjoy a meal. The Caf is newly renovated and offers hot meals like made-to-order stirfry, a grill and pasta bar, as well as a full selection of sandwiches, snacks, pizzas, and other favourites.

Glendon-Keele Shuttle
A free inter-campus shuttle bus service links York’s Glendon and Keele campuses. The shuttle travels between the two campuses regularly throughout the day, Monday through Friday, and is approximately a 45-minute ride.
IT Helpdesk
Glendon offers leading-edge technologies to enrich your educational experience including an intranet web portal, real-time webpage updates, online forums, course enhancements through multi-media innovations, electronic message boards, and more.
You have access to workstations in several computer labs staffed with technical support and a full range of state-of-the-art equipment. High-speed Internet access and lab software are available in all residence rooms as well.

Parking
If you plan to travel to campus by car, you can purchase a monthly, sessional, or yearly parking pass. You can also park on a daily basis if you’ll be driving only occasionally. For rates, visit the York Parking Services web site.

Security
To ensure that you feel comfortable and at home on campus, we take a proactive approach to your security, with trained security officers on site 24 hours a day.
Plus, our GoSAFE student security service provides free walking or driving escorts on foot or by car, between campus buildings, and to and from the parking lots and the bus stop, every evening from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am.
